The wife of "Rashid Mazaheri" announced on her Instagram page that the former goalkeeper of Esteghlal Zob Ahan and the Iranian national team has been arrested writing: "The hands that were accustomed to handling the toughest storms are now holding truth tightly in their embrace."
She also mentioned the cooperation of the Islamic Republics Football Federation with intelligence and security agencies against Rashid Mazaheri writing: "Be vigilant: dragging a case that had a final verdict in favor of my husband in the Football Federation to a public court with false testimony from their cronies is nothing but a puppet show to tarnish his image. Any news about his arrest on financial pretexts is a fabricated lie to cover up the truth. Rashid was aware of these traps and bravely stood his ground in his homeland. His courage will not be hidden behind these dirty scenarios."
On the evening of Tuesday February 24 2026 Rashid Mazaheri took a stance against "Ali Khamenei" the leader of the Islamic Republic in an Instagram post addressing him: "Know that your command over this divine land has come to an end. You have lashed bodies but the honor of the heirs of Cyrus and Darius surpasses the pettiness of your violence. The wall of fear has crumbled and from the ruins of tyranny a great Iran has risen. We have not forgotten the path to the renewal and power of a new Iran."

همسر رشید مظاهری با انتشار متنی در صفحه اینستاگرام خود از بازداشت دروازه بان سابق استقلال ذوب آهن و تیم ملی ایران خبر داده و نوشته است: "دستانی که عادت به مهار سخت ترین توفان ها داشت حالا "حقیقت"را محکم در آغوش گرفته است."
او همچنین از همکاری فدراسیون فوتبال جمهوری اسلامی با نهادهای اطلاعاتی و امنیتی علیه رشید مظاهری خبر داده و نوشته است: "هوشیار باشیم: کشاندن پرونده ای که در فدراسیون فوتبال رای قطعی به نفع همسرم داشت به دادگاه عمومی با شهادت دروغین نخاله هاشون تنها یک خیمه شب بازی برای لکه دار کردن چهره اوست. هر خبری مبنی بر بازداشت او به بهانه های مالی یک دروغ مهندسی شده برای سرپوش گذاشتن بر حقیقت است. رشید از این تله ها باخبر بود و شجاعانه ایستاده در وطن ماند. شجاعت او پشت این سناریوهای کثیف پنهان نمی ماند."
رشید مظاهری شامگاه سه شنبه ۵ اسفند۱۴۰۴ در پستی اینستاگرامی علیه «علی خامنه ای» رهبر جمهوری اسلامی موضع گیری کرد و خطاب به او نوشت: «بدان که فرماندهیِ تو بر این خاک ایزدی به پایان رسیده است. تو بر تن ها تازیانه زدی اما شرافت وارثان کوروش و داریوش فراتر از حقارت خشونت توست. دیوار ترس فرو ریخته و از میان ویرانه های استبداد ایران بزرگ قد علم کرده است. ما مسیر نوسازی و اقتدارِ ایران نوین را از یاد نبرده ایم.»
