Farogh Farsad

Farouq Farsad, a native of Saqqez, received religious instruction in Quran classes in Sanandaj. He was imprisoned three times and exiled to Ardabil for five years, where he worked as a laborer to support his family. On February 15, 1996 (Bahman 26, 1374), as he was leaving his home after breaking his fast, agents from the Ministry of Intelligence abducted him and murdered him by injecting an air embolism; his body was discovered late that night in a secluded alley in Ardabil. Although his death was initially attributed to a heart attack, the subsequent exposure of the "Chain Murders" revealed that Farouq Farsad had also been a victim of these killings. He left behind more than 500 audio tapes, pamphlets, and research documents.
