Mohammad Kaabi, known as “Abu Idris,” son of Abd and a resident of Shush County, was arrested on the afternoon of Saturday, September 12, 2026, by the Intelligence Organization of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and transferred to an undisclosed location.
The arrest comes amid a recent wave of arrests targeting Arab cultural and civil activists. In recent days, Mehdi Naseri and Aref Naseri have also been arrested by the IRGC Intelligence Organization.
These individuals have faced pressure in connection with their cultural activities and their advocacy of civil and social demands, including activities related to the song “From the Karun to the Olive.” The song had previously been produced and released with authorization from the Ahvaz Department of Culture and Islamic Guidance, but was removed from YouTube by the IRGC Intelligence Organization after its release. Hossein Ahvazi and Mehdi Zaeri, the two singers who performed the song, have also been summoned and threatened.
محمد کعبی معروف به «ابو ادریس»، فرزند عبد و از اهالی شهرستان شوش، بعدازظهر شنبه ۲۱ شهریور ۱۴۰۵، توسط سازمان اطلاعات سپاه پاسداران بازداشت و به مکانی نامعلوم منتقل شده است.
این بازداشت در ادامه موج اخیر بازداشت فعالان فرهنگی و مدنی عرب صورت گرفته است. طی روزهای گذشته، مهدی ناصری و عارف ناصری نیز توسط سازمان اطلاعات سپاه بازداشت شده اند.
این افراد در ارتباط با فعالیت های فرهنگی و طرح مطالبات مدنی و اجتماعی، از جمله فعالیت مرتبط با ترانه «از کارون تا زیتون»، تحت فشار قرار گرفته اند. این ترانه پیشتر با مجوز اداره فرهنگ و ارشاد اهواز تولید و منتشر شده بود، اما پس از انتشار در یوتیوب توسط سازمان اطلاعات سپاه حذف شد. حسین اهوازی و مهدی زائری، ۲ خواننده این اثر، نیز احضار و تهدید شده اند.
