Reports indicate that Mohammad Khezrnejad, a Sunni citizen from Bukan and currently imprisoned in Urmia Central Prison, has been sentenced to execution and 16 years of imprisonment. This sentence was issued by the head of Branch 3 of the Urmia Revolutionary Court.
It has been stated that the charges against Mohammad Khezrnejad include corruption on earth, actions against national security through harm to the country's independence and integrity, and propaganda activities against the regime.
He was tried online in Aban 1402 (October-November 2023) and subsequently in four in-person court sessions.
Additionally, reports suggest that forced confessions were obtained from Mohammad Khezrnejad regarding connections with extremist Salafi groups and leading the nationwide protests in 1401 (2022) in Bukan.
Mohammad Khezrnejad was arrested on 28 Aban 1401 (19 November 2022) along with his child in Bukan. After being transferred to the Intelligence Office detention centre in Bukan, he was moved to the West Azerbaijan Province Intelligence Department detention centre in Urmia for specialised interrogations. Following the completion of interrogations and the formal charging process, he was transferred to Urmia Prison.
براساس گزارش ها، ماموستا محمد خضرنژاد، شهروند اهل سنت از شهرستان بوکان و محبوس در زندان مرکزی ارومیه، به اعدام و تحمل ۱۶ سال حبس تعزیری محکوم شده است. این حکم توسط رئیس شعبه ۳ دادگاه انقلاب ارومیه صادر شده است.
گفته شده است که اتهامات وارده به محمد خضرنژاد شامل افساد فی الارض، اقدام علیه امنیت ملی از طریق صدمه به تمامیت استقلال و کشور و فعالیت تبلیغی علیه نظام بوده است.
او در آبان ماه ۱۴۰۲ به صورت آنلاین و سپس در چهار جلسه دادرسی حضوری محاکمه شده بود.
همچنین، گزارش ها حاکی از آن است که اعترافات اجباری از محمد خضرنژاد در خصوص ارتباط با گروه های سلفی تندرو و لیدری اعتراضات سراسری ۱۴۰۱ در شهرستان بوکان اخذ شده است.
محمد خضرنژاد در تاریخ ۲۸ آبان ماه ۱۴۰۱ به همراه فرزندش در شهرستان بوکان دستگیر و پس از انتقال به بازداشتگاه اداره اطلاعات در بوکان، برای بازجویی های تخصصی به بازداشتگاه اداره کل اطلاعات استان آذربایجان غربی در ارومیه منتقل شد. پس از اتمام مراحل بازجویی و تفهیم اتهام، او به زندان ارومیه منتقل گردید.
