On 22nd OCT 2022, Mr Masoud Barabadi and his wife were attacked by plainclothes bikers of Islamic Republic repression force. Even though they were not participants of the protest, Mr Barabadi was beaten and injured.
The assailants shot him in his stomach using a shotgun and took him away with no explanation.
Family received no news for some days until he finally made a phone call from block 209, Evin Prison.
Then, he was interrogated for 3 weeks and transferred to section 6, Fashafouyeh Prison.
He has been only allowed 3 visiting hours all this time. The judge has refused the bail during his remand and threatened the family. He is still awaiting his trial in prison now.
(a point of comparison: A prisoner on remand (waiting for their trial) is allowed three 1-hour visits a week in the UK.)
