On Thursday, August 15, 2024, the date and branch for the trial of Mahan Sajjadi's charges were determined. On Saturday, August 17, 2024, the political defendant, a resident of the village of Pijab in the Khuzestan province, who is detained and in limbo in Sheiban Central Prison in Ahvaz, will be tried by a judge from the Ahvaz Revolutionary Court branch.

According to an informed individual, the charges listed in the indictment against this person include "assembly and collusion to disrupt national security," "propaganda activities against the regime," and "membership in the group and faction - the People's Mojahedin Organization with the intent to disrupt national security."

It should be noted that Mahan Sajjadi was arrested on June 16, 2023, in the village of Pijab, a part of the Basht county, by agents of the Ministry of Intelligence. He was transferred to the detention center of the General Directorate of Intelligence of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province in the city of Yasuj to form a judicial case. After undergoing interrogation procedures, he was moved to the youth ward and Ward 2 of Yasuj Central Prison and later transferred to Ahvaz Central Prison.

After undergoing interrogation procedures, he was held in temporary detention for a long period in an indeterminate status and was deprived of the basic rights of a defendant.
