He was a passenger on Ukraine International Airlines Flight PS752. On 8 January 2020, the aircraft, operating a scheduled passenger service from Tehran to Kyiv, was shot down shortly after takeoff by air defence missiles fired by Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, killing all 176 people on board.
Kamyar Ibn Al-Din Hamidi, along with his father Ardalan Ibn Al-Din Hamidi and his mother Niloufar Razaqi Ramtin, were passengers on the Ukrainian flight PS752. On 8 January 2020, the aircraft was shot down by two missiles from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, resulting in the deaths of all passengers on board.
