مونس صوفی، مادر دو فرزند و از شهروندان مشهد، روز جمعه ۱۹ دی ماه در جریان سرکوب اعتراضات مردمی توسط نیروهای جمهوری اسلامی کشته شد. بر اساس گزارش ها، وی ابتدا با اصابت گلوله به ناحیه پا بر زمین افتاد و سپس هدف ضربات باتوم نیروهای سرکوبگر از ناحیه سر قرار گرفت. شدت ضربات باعث وارد آمدن ضربه مغزی به این شهروند معترض شد و او در نهایت جان خود را از دست داد.
