On 14 September 2026, he was released from the intelligence detention centre in the county after signing a commitment letter.
به گزارش منابع خبری، محسن اسدی در تاریخ ۲۷ شهریور ۱۴۰۲ توسط نیروهای امنیتی در شهرستان کامیاران بازداشت و به مکان نامعلومی منتقل شد. گفته شده است که این بازداشت پس از یورش نیروهای امنیتی به مغازه وی در شهرستان کامیاران انجام شده است. اطلاعاتی درباره نهاد امنیتی دستگیر کننده، اتهامات حقوقی، مکان نگهداری و روند رسیدگی به پرونده قضایی وی در دسترس نیست.
در تاریخ ۲۶ شهریور ۱۴۰۵، چندین تن از نیروهای اداره اطلاعات با خودروهای شخصی به مغازه لوازم خانگی وی در میدان شافعی این شهر هجوم برده و بدون ارائه حکم قضایی اقدام به بازداشت و انتقال وی به مکانی نامعلوم کردند. در همان روز، محسن اسدی توسط نیروهای سازمان اطلاعات بازداشت شد. در تاریخ ۲۳ شهریور ۱۴۰۵، وی پس از امضای تعهدنامه از بازداشتگاه اداره اطلاعات شهرستان آزاد شد.
