It has been reported that Hashem Eidani, an Arab civil and ideological activist in Ahvaz, was killed in the village of Khabineh Olya. It is said that dozens of vehicles with personal and police license plates surrounded the village and Eidani's house, and fired at him as he attempted to flee to the Karun River.
Additionally, it has been reported that government forces retrieved his body from the river but informed his family that the body had not been found.
