On January 28, 2024, it was reported that Jamal Mohammad Ali Ameli, a social media activist, was recently sentenced to one year of imprisonment by Judge Iman Afshari, the head of Branch 26 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court.
According to the issued verdict, Jamal Ameli was sentenced to one year of imprisonment for the charge of propaganda against the regime.
This social media activist, announcing this news on his personal page, explained that fourteen months ago, intelligence agents raided a birthday party, confiscated his mobile phone, and after about a year, a case was opened against him with charges of assembly, collusion, and propaganda against the regime in Branch 1 of the Evin Prosecutor's Office, ultimately resulting in a one-year prison sentence.
It is noteworthy that the interrogation and indictment session for Jamal Ameli took place on October 1, 2023, after he was summoned to the first branch of the investigation office in District 33 of Tehran. Subsequently, the indictment against this social media activist was referred to Branch 26 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court.

به گزارش حقوق بشر در ایران در ۸ بهمن ماه ۱۴۰۲، طی روزهای اخیر، جمال محمدعلی عاملی، فعال فضای مجازی، توسط قاضی ایمان افشاری ـ رئیس شعبه ۲۶ دادگاه انقلاب تهران، به تحمل ۱ سال حبس تعزیری محکوم شد.
براساس دادنامه صادره، جمال عاملی، از بابت اتهام فعالیت تبلیغی علیه نظام به تحمل ۱ سال حبس تعزیری محکوم شده است.
این فعال فضای مجازی با اعلام این خبر در صفحه شخصی خود تشریح کرد:”چهارده ماه پیش، ماموران اطلاعات سپاه، با یورش به یک مهمانی تولد، موبایلم را ضبط کردند و بعد از حدود ۱سال پرونده ای با دو اتهام اجتماع و تبانی و تبلیغ علیه نظام برای من در شعبه ۱بازپرسی اوین بازکردند و در نهایت به ۱ سال حبس تعزیری محکوم شدم.”
لازم به اشاره است، جلسه بازپرسی و تفهیم اتهام جمال عاملی، در تاریخ ۹ مهر ماه ۱۴۰۲، پس از احضار وی به شعبه اول بازپرسی در دادسرای ناحیه ۳۳ تهران، برگزار و سپس کیفرخواست صادره بر علیه این فعال فضای مجازی به شعبه ۲۶ دادگاه انقلاب تهران، ارجاع شده بود.
