On Friday, October 27, 2023, Ali Akbar Zar, son of Abdolrahim, born on May 14, 1984, and residing in the Laleh Zar neighborhood of Tehran, a social media activist (Instagram), remains detained and in an uncertain situation in Ward 4 (Quarantine Ward) of Evin Prison. He has undergone interrogation and been charged without his basic rights being respected, and he is at risk of receiving a death sentence based on the charges outlined in the indictment against him.
A source close to Ali Akbar Zar's family stated that he went through interrogation and was charged without being afforded the basic rights of an accused. During the investigation and preparation of the indictment, he was acquitted of charges related to "assembly and collusion to commit crimes against internal/external security" and "enmity against God and corruption on earth," but the indictment was prepared with charges such as "insulting the Prophet."
It is worth mentioning that Ali Akbar Zar was arrested following a report filed by the Tehran Police Command Operations Center. He was detained by security police officers in Tehran, transferred to one of the security wards of Evin Prison, and subjected to interrogation.
After completing the interrogation process, on July 25, 2023, Ali Akbar Zar was transferred to one of the security wards of Evin Prison concerning charges related to "posting content on his personal Instagram page." He completed his interrogation period, and then his case was prepared with charges of "insulting the Prophet through disrespecting the Ahl al-Bayt and Islamic sanctities," "propaganda against the regime," "insulting the leadership," and "insulting the founder of the Islamic Republic." The indictment was issued by Mojtaba Jabarian, the investigator of Branch 6 of the Prosecutor’s Office in District 33 of Tehran, located in Evin Prison.
Additionally, in another part of the indictment against Ali Akbar Zar, he was acquitted of charges of "enmity against God and corruption on earth" and "assembly and collusion to commit crimes against internal/external security," with a non-prosecution order issued for these two charges. However, regarding the other charges, his case was referred to the Revolutionary Court and Criminal Court 2 of Tehran after the indictment was prepared.

به گزارش حقوق بشر در ایران، امروز جمعه ۵ آبان ماه ۱۴۰۲، علی اکبر زر، فرزند: عبدالرحیم، متوبد: ۲۴ اردیبهشت ماه ۱۳۶۳، ساکن محله لاله زار تهران، فعال فضای مجازی (اینستاگرام)، محبوس و بلاتکلیف در اندرزگاه ۴ (بند قرنطینه) زندان اوین، در حالی که مراحل بازجویی ها و تفهیم اتهام را بدون رعایت حقوق اولیه خود پشت سر گذاشته در وضعیت بلاتکلیفی بسر می برد و با توجه به اتهام مندرج درکیفرخواست صادره برعلیه وی در خطر صدور حکم اعدام قرار دارد.
یک فرد نزدیک به خانواده این علی اکبر زر، در گفتگو با گزارشگر حقوق بشر در ایران اعلام کرد:”آقای زر، در حالی مراحل بازجویی ها و تفهیم اتهام را پشت سر گذاشت که از حقوق اولیه یک متهم محروم بوده و در مراحل بازپرسی و تنظیم کیفرخواست از اتهامات (اجتماع و تبانی برای ارتکاب جرم بر صد امنیت داخلی / خارجی) و (محاربه و افساد فی الارض) تبرئه شد اما کیفرخواست او با اتهاماتی از قبیل (سب النبی) تنظیم شده است.”
لازم به اشاره است، علی اکبر زر، در پی ثبت گزارش از سوی مرکز عملیات فرماندهی انتظامی تهران بزرگ، توسط ماموران پلیس امنیت، تهران، دستگیر و به یکی از بندهای امنیتی زندان اوین، منتقل و تحت بازجویی قرار گرفت.
پس از طی مراحل بازجویی ها، علی اکبر زر، در تاریخ ۳ مرداد ماه ۱۴۰۲، از بابت اتهامات مرتبط با (انتشار مطالبی در صفحه شخصی اینستاگرام خود) به یکی از بندهای امنیتی زندان اوین، منتقل و دوران بازجویی های خود را پشت سر گذاشت و سپس پرونده وی با اتهامات (سب النبی از طریق اهانت به اهل بیت و مقدسات اسلام)، (تبلیغ علیه نظام)، (توهین به رهبری)، (توهین به بنیانگذار جمهور اسلامی)، توسط مجتبی جابریان ـ بازپس شعبه ۶ دادسرای ناحیه ۳۳ تهران واقع در زندان اوین تنظیم و قرار جلب به دادرسی(کیفرخواست) صادر شد.
همچنین، در بخش دیگری از قرار صادره (کیفرخواست) بر علیه علیرضا زر، وی از بابت اتهامات (محاربه و افساد فی الارض) و (اجتماعی و تبانی برای ارتکاب جرم بر صد امنیت داخلی / خارجی) تبرئه و نسبت به این ۲ اتهام برای وی قرار منع تعقیب صادر شد اما در خصوص اتهامات دیگر پرونده وی پس از تنظیم کیفرخواست به دادگاه انقلاب و کیفری ۲ تهران ارجاع شده است.
