در شامگاه روز ۱۸ دی ۱۴۰۴ در نازی آباد تهران با شلیک مستقیم به پشت سرش توسط نیروهای رژیم کشته شد.
خانواده اش روزها در جستجویش بودند تا خبر مرگش را بشنوند. او در جریان خیزش زن زندگی آزادی نیز حضوری فعال داشت .

Asal Shafiei, a young woman and a computer engineering student in Tehran, was killed in Nazi Abad, Tehran, on 8 January 2026. She was shot in the back of the head by forces.
