During an arrest operation, authorities reportedly created an atmosphere of fear and severely assaulted Reza Niakan, along with his spouse and their one-year-old child. Following a search of the residence, Niakan was taken to an undisclosed location.
After his arrest, this individual was held for seven days in solitary confinement at a Ministry of Intelligence security detention centre, where he underwent intense interrogation. During this period, he was denied any contact or visitation rights with his family. Eventually, after the initial interrogations were completed, he was transferred to the general ward of Khorramabad Central Prison.
Security agencies have filed a case against him with charges including "propaganda against the regime" and "inciting people to gather." These charges are reportedly based on his activities on social media, such as posting critical stories and participating in protest gatherings in January 2026.
مأموران در حین بازداشت، علاوه بر ایجاد فضای رعب و وحشت، اقدام به ضرب وشتم شدید رضا نیاکان، همسر و کودک یک ساله وی کرده و پس از تفتیش خانه، نامبرده را به مکان نامعلومی منتقل کردند.
این شهروند پس از بازداشت، به مدت ۷ روز در سلول های انفرادی بازداشتگاه امنیتی وزارت اطلاعات تحت بازجویی های شدید قرار داشت و از حق هرگونه تماس یا ملاقات با خانواده محروم بود. وی سرانجام پس از اتمام بازجویی های اولیه، به بند عمومی زندان مرکزی خرم آباد منتقل شده است.
نهادهای امنیتی پرونده ای با اتهاماتی چون «تبلیغ علیه نظام» و «تحریک مردم به تجمعات» علیه وی تشکیل داده اند. مصداق بارز این اتهامات، فعالیت های وی در فضای مجازی از جمله انتشار استوری های انتقادی و حضور در تجمعات اعتراضی دی ماه ۱۴۰۴ عنوان شده است.
