Sanabor Taghizadeh, an Azerbaijani Turkish citizen from Khoy, has been arrested by security forces during popular protests. As of the time of writing, no information is available about his whereabouts, physical or legal status, and his family is unaware of his fate.
According to eyewitness reports of the protests in Khoy, security forces have forcibly ordered the closure of all shops and commercial centers; an action that witnesses say was taken with the aim of limiting the possibility of protesters dispersing or taking short-term refuge and facilitating arrests.
It has also been reported that in Shams Khoy Passage, security forces have entered public spaces and used tear gas to create fear and panic.
According to eyewitnesses, security forces have been pursuing protesters in groups of motorcycles in uniforms throughout the city. However, due to the tight security environment and information restrictions, accurate statistics on the number of dead, injured, and detained are not yet available.

بر اساس گزارش های شاهدان عینی از اعتراضات در خوی، نیروهای امنیتی با توسل به زور دستور بستن تمامی مغازه ها و مراکز تجاری را صادر کرده اند؛ اقدامی که به گفته شاهدان با هدف محدود کردن امکان پراکندگی یا پناه گیری کوتاه مدت معترضان و تسهیل بازداشت ها انجام شده است.
همچنین گزارش شده که در پاساژ شمس خوی نیروهای امنیتی با ورود به فضاهای عمومی و استفاده از گاز اشک آور اقدام به ایجاد رعب و وحشت کرده اند.
به گفته شاهدان عینی، نیروهای امنیتی به صورت گروه های موتورسوار با لباس های متحدالشکل در سطح شهر به تعقیب معترضان پرداخته اند. با وجود این، به دلیل فضای شدید امنیتی و محدودیت های اطلاع رسانی، تاکنون آمار دقیقی از کشته ها، زخمی ها و بازداشت شدگان در دست نیست.
