یکی از چهره های شاخص سازمان مجاهدین خلق در دهه ۵۰ و ۶۰ که فارغ التحصیل مهندسی برق از دانشگاه تهران بود، پس از انقلاب ۱۳۵۷ به اتهام جاسوسی برای شوروی در اردیبهشت ۱۳۵۸ بازداشت شد. وی ابتدا به ۱۰ سال زندان محکوم شد، اما در جریان اعدام های گسترده تابستان ۱۳۶۰ در ۴ مرداد ۱۳۶۰ در زندان اوین اعدام شد.

Mohammad Reza Saadati was born in Shiraz in 1944.
He graduated from the Faculty of Engineering at Tehran University with a degree in electrical engineering.
He was arrested by SAVAK before the Islamic Revolution and spent 8 years in prison under the Pahlavi regime. He was released after the 1979 revolution, and in July 1980, he was arrested on charges of spying for the Soviet Union and sent to Evin Prison.
He was member of Mojahedin Khalq Organization
Saadati was sentenced to 10 years in prison in the shooting in Evin prison 1982.
A prominent figure of the People's Mojahedin Organisation of Iran during the 1970s and 1980s, who graduated in electrical engineering from the University of Tehran, was arrested in May 1979 on charges of espionage for the Soviet Union following the 1979 revolution. Initially sentenced to ten years in prison, the individual was executed on 26 July 1981 during the widespread executions of the summer of 1981 at Evin Prison.
