Hossein Kasab, born on December 31, 1983, in Yazd, is a legal expert and a hymn singer for the Fahadan Yazd group. He is the nephew of the late Hossein Saadatmand, a well-known and long-standing hymn singer for the Fahadan Yazd group.
He began singing in elementary school as a soloist in a choir and continued as a hymn singer for the Salehizadeh School group during middle school.
In his early youth, he pursued his interest in music by attending music classes, learning the violin from instructors such as Arsalan Kamkar and Reza Alami, and studying vocals under the guidance of Vakili Manesh and Hossein Alishapour.
Having learned the principles of hymn singing from his uncle, the late Hossein Saadatmand, he took up hymn singing in 2009 following the onset of his uncle’s illness. He began with the hymn "Oh Headless Yousef of Zahra, Why Are You?" written by Mr. Ahmad Mohabi for the Fahadan group, a responsibility he continues to hold.
Hossein Kasab is meticulous in selecting an appropriate and Ashura-themed melody, and he considers the most important aspect of choosing poetry to be the conveyance of the lofty and human-building concepts of Ashura, avoiding the emotional and exaggerated atmosphere that can arise from mourning. Mr. Ahmad Mohabi and especially Seyed Sohrab Dehghan are among the poets whose works he has used in his hymn singing.

حسین کاسب متولد 10 دی ماه 1362 در یزد کارشناس حقوق و نوحه خوان هیئت فهادان یزد و خواهرزاده زنده یاد حسین سعادتمند مداح مشهور و قدیمی هیئت فهادان یزد می باشد.
وی خوانندگی را از دوران دبستان به عنوان تک خوان گروه سرود و در دوران راهنمایی به عنوان نوحه خوان هیئت مدرسه صالحی زاده آغاز نمود.
او در آغاز سنین جوانی با حضور در کلاسهای موسیقی فعالیت در این زمینه را ادامه داد و ساز تخصصی خود یعنی ویولن را نزد اساتیدی چون ارسلان کامکار و رضا عالمی و آواز را نزد استاد وکیلی منش و حسین علیشاپور فرا گرفت.
وی که اصول نوحه خوانی را نزد دایی خود زنده یاد حسین سعادتمند آموخته بود در سال 1388 و به دنبال آغاز مراحل بیماری زنده یاد حسین سعادتمند نوحه خوانی را با نوحه « ای یوسف زهرا بی سر تو چرایی ؟ » از سروده های جناب آقای احمد محبی در هیئت فهادان آغاز نمود و این مسئولیت را به عهده دارد.
حسین کاسب در انتخاب یک ملودی مناسب و عاشورایی بیشترین وسواس را داشته و همچنین مهمترین دغدغه خود در انتخاب شعر را القای مفاهیم والا و انسان ساز عاشورا به دور از فضای احساس و اغراقِ ناشی از عزاداری می داند. جناب آقایان احمد محبی و به ویژه سید سهراب دهقان از جمله شاعرانی بوده اند که وی تاکنون از سروده های آنها در نوحه خوانی استفاده نموده است.
