Mohammad Karim Seyedi and Omid Nikzad, children from the Baloch community in Sistan and Baluchestan Province, were arrested by Iranian authorities in Isfahan and transferred to an undisclosed location. Reports indicate that on 5 January 2026, Omid Nikzad from Parood and Mohammad Karim Seyedi from the village of Bandan were detained. It is reported that Mohammad Karim had travelled to Isfahan with his mother for her medical treatment and met another teenager who was also in the city for medical reasons. Around midday on 5 January 2026, the two teenagers were arrested after leaving their accommodation.
Despite efforts to ascertain their situation, no precise information is currently available regarding the reasons for their arrest, the charges against them, or their whereabouts.
محمدکریم سیدی و امید نیکزاد، کودکان بلوچ اهل استان سیستان و بلوچستان، توسط نیروهای جمهوری اسلامی ایران در اصفهان بازداشت و به مکان نامعلومی منتقل شدند. گزارش ها حاکی از آن است که روز دوشنبه ۱۵ دی ماه ۱۴۰۴، امید نیکزاد اهل پارود و محمدکریم سیدی اهل روستای بندان بازداشت شدند. گفته شده است که محمدکریم به دلیل بیماری مادرش برای پیگیری درمان به همراه او به اصفهان سفر کرده بود و در این شهر با نوجوان دیگری که او نیز به دلایل پزشکی به اصفهان آمده بود، آشنا شده است. حوالی ظهر روز دوشنبه این دو نوجوان پس از خروج از محل اقامت خود بازداشت شدند.
علیرغم پیگیری وضعیت این دو کودک، تاکنون اطلاعات دقیقی در مورد دلایل بازداشت، اتهامات انتسابی و محل نگهداری آنها در دسترس نیست.
