Mohammad Javad Parandakh

Mohammad Javad Parandakh participated in protest gatherings against the election results alongside many students from Isfahan University of Technology. He then returned to his home in Gilan-e-Gharb. A few days after his return, on 15 July 2009, his father received a phone call from the Gilan-e-Gharb Intelligence Office and was informed of a summons issued against his son. Mohammad Javad Parandak was required to present himself to the Isfahan Intelligence Office on 19 July 2009, facing charges of arson and destruction of government property. He was temporarily released on bail of 30 million tomans. On the specified date, Parandak, accompanied by his father, reported to the Isfahan Intelligence Office and was summoned again for 24 August 2009. During his next visit on 24 August 2009, Parandak was interrogated for two consecutive days from morning until night. On the morning of the third day, 26 August 2009, he left home intending to attend the Intelligence Office. However, around 10 a.m., his father received a call from the office stating that Mohammad Javad had not arrived for further questioning. His father began searching the surrounding streets and eventually found his son's body under a pedestrian bridge. The body was transferred to the forensic department, where the cause of death was declared as "blunt force trauma to the head." Parandak's body was buried in his hometown of Gilan-e-Gharb.

Reports suggest that Parandak was subjected to torture and assault during interrogation, leading to mental distress and subsequent suicide. These reports have not been confirmed or denied.

On 6 October 2009, a memorial service for Mohammad Javad Parandak was held at Isfahan University of Technology, attended by approximately 200 students and classmates. It was noted that after the event, several participants and organisers were summoned by the university's security office and were compelled to provide written commitments.
