Pouria Naderi was arrested along with his two brothers by the Kermanshah Intelligence Department during the "Woman, Life, Freedom" movement and spent nearly three months in a security detention centre. After being temporarily released on bail, he avoided subsequent summonses and was under continuous pursuit by security agencies following the protests in December.
Forces from the Intelligence Department, led by an officer identified as Kamrani, who had previously been involved in other cases including the deaths of Mojtaba Veysi and Meysam Veysi, two Kurdish Yarsani brothers, surrounded him. During the ensuing armed confrontation, two members of the Intelligence Department were injured, and Pouria Naderi died from gunshot wounds.
پوریا نادری در جریان خیزش «ژن، ژیان، ئازادی» همراه با دو برادر خود توسط اداره اطلاعات کرمانشاه بازداشت و نزدیک به سه ماه را در بازداشتگاه امنیتی سپری کرده بود. نامبرده پس از آزادی موقت با تودیع وثیقه، از احضارهای بعدی خودداری کرده و پس از اعتراضات دی ماه نیز تحت تعقیب مداوم نهادهای امنیتی قرار داشت.
نیروهای اداره اطلاعات به فرماندهی و هدایت یکی از ماموران اداره اطلاعات با هویت «کامرانی» (که پیشتر در پرونده های دیگر از جمله جان باختن مجتبی ویسی و میثم ویسی دو برادر کورد یارسانی نقش داشته)، اقدام به محاصره وی نمودند. در جریان درگیری مسلحانه روی داده، دو تن از نیروهای اداره اطلاعات زخمی شده و پوریا نادری بر اثر اصابت گلوله جان خود را از دست داد.
