According to reports from Human Rights in Iran, Mohammad Jafar Mohammadi, born in 1968, was arrested by security forces in Sanandaj, the capital of Kordestan Province, on 25 December 2023 and transferred to an undisclosed location.
Available information indicates that during the arrest, officers entered his home with violent behaviour, breaking down the front door before detaining him.
It is reported that the reason for Mohammad Jafar Mohammadi's arrest was his complaint against the police officers in Sanandaj for assault and illegal detention, which he filed at the public and revolutionary prosecutor's office in the city.
به گزارش حقوق بشر در ایران، محمدجعفر محمدی، متولد 1347، فرزند توفیق، اهل و ساکن شهر سنندج مرکز استان کردستان، در 4 دی ماه 1402 توسط نیروهای امنیتی بازداشت و به مکان نامعلومی منتقل شد.
براساس اطلاعات موجود، ماموران هنگام بازداشت محمدجعفر محمدی با رفتارهای خشونت آمیز به منزل وی وارد شده و پس از شکستن درب ورودی، او را بازداشت کردند.
گفته می شود علت بازداشت محمدجعفر محمدی، شکایت او از ماموران نیروی انتظامی شهر سنندج به دلیل ضرب و جرح و بازداشت غیرقانونی وی در شعبه بازپرسی دادسرای عمومی و انقلاب شهر سنندج بوده است.
