On July 28, 2024, Hossein Koushki Nejad, born in 1988 and a political prisoner held in Evin Prison, continues to serve his sentence without access to specialized medical treatment.
A source informed a human rights reporter that Hossein Koushki is suffering from a torn meniscus in his leg, and despite doctors stating that surgery is the only treatment, the prison authorities have refused to cover the medical expenses, depriving him of his right to treatment. Koushki Nejad has submitted several written requests to be transferred to a hospital, but he has not received a proper response. He has only been informed that they are in communication regarding funding for his treatment, which has not yet been realized.
It should be noted that during the legal proceedings, Hossein Koushki Nejad was tried by the judge of the Revolutionary Court on charges of propaganda against the regime and assembly and collusion. After being acquitted of the second charge, he was sentenced to one year of imprisonment solely for propaganda against the regime.
After completing the legal process and receiving the final court ruling, Hossein Koushki Nejad was arrested on April 8, 2024, after being summoned to the First Branch of the Sentence Enforcement Court of District 33 in Tehran, near Evin Prison, and was transferred to the prison to serve his sentence.

به گزارش حقوق بشر در ایران در ۶ مرداد ماه ۱۴۰۳، حسین کوشکی نژاد، متولد ۱۳۶۷، زندانی سیاسی محبوس در زندان اوین، در حالی دوران حبس تعزیری خود را سپری می کند که از حق درمان و رسیدگی تخصصی پزشکی محروم شده است.
به نقل از یک فرد مطلع در گفتگو با گزارشگر حقوق بشر در ایران:”با توجه به اینکه آقای کوشکی از پارگی مینسک پا در رنج است و به در پی اعلام پزشکان مبنی بر اینکه تنها راه درمان انجام عمل جراحی است اما سازمان زندانها از تقبل هزینه درمذان امتناع کرده و این زندانی سیاسی از حق درمان محروم شده است. این در حالی است که آقای کوشکی نژاد چند مرحله برای اعزام به بیمارستان درخواست کتبی داده اما تا به امروز هسچ پاشخ درستی به وی نداند فقط به او اعلام شده برای تامین هزینه درمان در حال مکاتبه هستند. امری که تا به امروز محقق نشده است.”
لازم به اشاره است، حسین کوشکی نژاد، در مراحل دادرسی توسط قاضی شعبه دادگاه انقلاب، از بابت اتهام فعالیت تبلیغی علیه نظام و اجتماع و تبانی محاکمه و پس از تبرئه از اتهام دوم، فقط به اتهام فعالیت تبلیغی علیه نظام به تحمل ۱ سال حبس تعزیری محکوم شده بود.
پس از طی مراحل دادرسی و بالاغ حکم قطعی دادگاه، حسین کوشکی نژاد، در تاریخ ۱۹ فرردین ماه ۱۴۰۳، پس از احضار به شعبه اول اجرای احکام دادسرای ناحیه ۳۳ تهران، جنب زندان اوین، دستگیر و برای سپری کردن دوران حبس تعزیری خود به آن زندان، منتقل شد.
