As of 5 January 2025, Ayoub Parkar, a political prisoner, is serving his prison sentence. Reports indicate that he is in the seventeenth year of his 20-year sentence at Sheiban Prison in Ahvaz and is being denied parole and medical treatment.
It is reported that Ayoub Parkar is experiencing issues such as joint wear and swelling in his knees, high blood pressure, and headaches, requiring treatment at specialised facilities outside the prison.
On 28 August 2024, a report was published regarding Ayoub Parkar's condition and his denial of parole.
Ayoub Parkar was arrested by Ministry of Intelligence officers in Tehran on 3 January 2009. After being transferred to Evin Prison, he was charged. Initially sentenced to death, his sentence was reduced to 20 years of imprisonment after an appeal.
During his interrogation, he was transferred to various prisons and eventually incarcerated in Behbahan County Prison.
Ayoub Parkar is a graduate in electrical and electronic engineering and was expelled from the Air Force in 1988 due to his affiliation with the People's Mojahedin Organization.
در تاریخ 15 دی ماه 1403، ایوب پرکار، زندانی سیاسی، در حال سپری کردن دوران حبس تعزیری خود است. گزارش ها حاکی از آن است که او هفدهمین سال از حبس 20 ساله خود را در زندان شیبان اهواز می گذراند و از حق آزادی مشروط و درمان محروم است.
گفته می شود ایوب پرکار با مشکلاتی از جمله سائیدگی و تورم مفاصل زانو، فشار خون بالا و سردرد مواجه است و نیاز به درمان در مراکز تخصصی خارج از زندان دارد.
در تاریخ 6 شهریور ماه 1403، گزارشی درباره وضعیت ایوب پرکار و محرومیت او از حق آزادی مشروط منتشر شده بود.
ایوب پرکار در تاریخ 14 دی ماه 1387 توسط ماموران وزارت اطلاعات در تهران دستگیر و پس از انتقال به زندان اوین، تفهیم اتهام شد. او ابتدا به اعدام محکوم شد، اما پس از اعتراض، حکم او به 20 سال حبس تعزیری کاهش یافت.
در دوران بازجویی، او به زندان های مختلفی منتقل شد و در نهایت در زندان شهرستان بهبهان محبوس شد.
ایوب پرکار دانش آموخته مهندسی برق و الکترونیک است و در سال 1367 به علت وابستگی به سازمان مجاهدین خلق از نیروی هوایی ارتش اخراج شد.
