On Sunday, August 23, 2026, Seiran Arabi was arrested by the cyber police in Mahabad, and their personal Instagram page was blocked by order of the judicial authorities.
The police commander of Mahabad claimed in an interview with the media that the arrest of this young blogger was due to the publication of content containing insults and mockery towards "Mohammad Mamli," a renowned Kurdish artist, which provoked reactions from the artist's fans.
A blogger had apologised to the family of the artist and the public through several videos and had deleted their post before being detained.
