احمد نعیم آبادی در تاریخ ۲۵ خرداد ۱۳۸۸ در میدان آزادی تهران در جریان اعتراضات مردمی علیه نتایج انتخابات، هدف گلوله قرار گرفت و پس از انتقال به بیمارستان رسول اکرم، جان باخت. پیکر او در تاریخ ۳۱ خرداد به خانواده اش تحویل داده شد. گزارش ها حاکی از آن است که نهادهای حکومتی به خانواده او پیشنهاد دیه داده اند، اما خانواده این پیشنهاد را نپذیرفته و خواستار شناسایی مسئولان و عاملان این حادثه هستند. تاکنون پاسخی به درخواست های آنان داده نشده است.

Ahmad Naeem Abadi was killed by gunfire on the outskirts of Azadi Square.
Ahmad Naeimabadi was shot in Azadi Square, Tehran, during public protests against the election results on 15 June 2009. He passed away after being transferred to Rasoul Akram Hospital. His body was handed over to his family on 21 June 2009. Reports indicate that government institutions have offered compensation to his family, but they have declined the offer and are seeking the identification of those responsible for the incident. No response has been provided to their requests so far.
