Reports indicate that Mehdi Fathi, a teachers' union activist in Fars Province and a board member of the Fars Teachers' Association, has been sentenced to 15 months in prison on charges of "propaganda against the regime." This sentence is subject to appeal.
Mehdi Fathi, a teacher and cultural activist, was arrested by security forces in Fars Province in the village of Kordshul Pasargad on 8 June 2022. He was sentenced by the Fars Province Revolutionary Court to 12 years of imprisonment, 2 years of exile to Garmsar, 2 years of travel ban, and 2 years of passport cancellation. It has also been reported that his monthly salary was suspended on 23 August 2022.
The union activist is currently held in Adelabad Prison in Shiraz. Reports suggest that he suffers from a severe heart condition and is at risk due to a lack of access to medical care and treatment leave. His protests regarding the lack of medical attention have not yet received attention from the authorities.
بر اساس گزارش ها، مهدی فتحی، فعال صنفی معلمان استان فارس و عضو هیئت مدیره انجمن صنفی معلمان فارس، به اتهام «تبلیغ علیه نظام» به ۱۵ ماه حبس محکوم شده است. این حکم قابل تجدیدنظرخواهی اعلام شده است.
مهدی فتحی، معلم و فعال صنفی فرهنگیان، در تاریخ 18 خرداد 1401 توسط نیروهای امنیتی استان فارس در روستای کردشول پاسارگاد بازداشت شد. او با حکم دادگاه انقلاب استان فارس به ۱۲ سال حبس تعزیری، ۲ سال تبعید به گرمسار، ۲ سال ممنوع الخروجی از کشور و ۲ سال ابطال گذرنامه محکوم شده است. همچنین گزارش شده است که حقوق ماهیانه او در اول شهریور 1401 قطع شده است.
این فعال صنفی در حال حاضر در زندان عادل آباد شیراز به سر می برد. گزارش ها حاکی از آن است که او دچار بیماری حاد قلبی است و بدون دسترسی به پزشک و مرخصی درمانی، جانش در خطر است. اعتراضات او نسبت به عدم رسیدگی درمانی تاکنون مورد توجه مقامات قرار نگرفته است.
