On 18 November 2022, Amir Farastishad, a resident of Piranshahr, was shot during public protests in the city and succumbed to his injuries before reaching the hospital.
At the Piranshahr hospital, there were attempts to seize his body, but these were thwarted by the proactive measures of Amir's family, relatives, and the people of Piranshahr.
Amir Farastishad's burial ceremony was held with a large public presence at the Piranshahr cemetery, where stationed forces did not intervene. His memorial service also saw significant public attendance at the Hazrat Ismail Mosque in Piranshahr, during which shots were fired at attendees, resulting in injuries to four citizens.
Security agencies have summoned the Farastishad family several times for questioning regarding their online activities seeking justice. Offers, including compensation and registering Amir with the Foundation of Martyrs of the Islamic Republic, were made to the family but were declined.
The Piranshahr Civil Registry Office has so far refused to issue a death certificate for Amir Farastishad. On the day of his fortieth-day memorial, security forces were stationed at the Piranshahr cemetery, arrested two young individuals, and prevented the ceremony from taking place.
Additionally, Amir Farastishad's family has been threatened with arrest warrants if they speak to the media about the circumstances of their son's death. Amir Farastishad, born in Piranshahr, was married and had a young child.
در تاریخ ۲۷ آبان ۱۴۰۱، امیر فراستی شاداهل پیرانشهر، در جریان اعتراضات مردمی در این شهر هدف شلیک گلوله قرار گرفت و قبل از رسیدن به بیمارستان بر اثر شدت جراحات جان باخت.
در بیمارستان پیرانشهر، تلاش هایی برای گروگان گرفتن پیکر او صورت گرفت، اما به دلیل اقدام پیشگیرانه خانواده و نزدیکان امیر و همچنین مردم پیرانشهر، این اقدام انجام نشد.
مراسم خاکسپاری امیر فراستی شاد با حضور گسترده مردم در آرامستان پیرانشهر برگزار شد و نیروهای مستقر در اطراف آرامستان اقدامی انجام ندادند. مراسم ختم او نیز با حضور گسترده مردم در مسجد حضرت اسماعیل پیرانشهر برگزار شد و در جریان آن، به شرکت کنندگان شلیک شد که منجر به زخمی شدن چهار شهروند شد.
نهادهای امنیتی چندین بار خانواده فراستی شاد را احضار کرده و در رابطه با فعالیت های مجازی برای دادخواهی مورد بازجویی قرار داده اند. همچنین پیشنهادهایی از جمله اخذ دیه و ثبت نام امیر در بنیاد شهید جمهوری اسلامی به خانواده او داده شده که رد شده اند.
اداره ثبت احوال پیرانشهر تاکنون از صدور گواهی فوت برای امیر فراستی شاد خودداری کرده است. در روز مراسم چهلم او، نیروهای امنیتی در آرامستان پیرانشهر مستقر و اقدام به بازداشت دو جوان کردند و اجازه برگزاری مراسم چهلم را ندادند.
همچنین، خانواده امیر فراستی شاد تهدید شده اند که در صورت مصاحبه با رسانه ها درباره نحوه فوت فرزندشان با حکم بازداشت مواجه خواهند شد. امیر فراستی شاد فرزند حسن و نجیبه، متولد پیرانشهر بود و متأهل و دارای یک فرزند خردسال بود.
