A Bahá'í citizen residing in Semnan has been sent to Khash to serve a one-year exile. Mr. Fanaian had been released from Semnan Prison in Esfand of 1403 (March 2025) after completing his prison sentence.

On Thursday, March 20, 2025, he was released from prison after six years. But this release came after he had spent more than half of his sentence in solitary confinement, a psychological torture aimed at breaking the will and imposing additional pressure on prisoners of conscience.
A Baha'i citizen is serving his sentence in Semnan prison. This Baha'i citizen was previously sentenced to six years in prison.
