Hamidreza Taheri, an artist and musician, was reportedly shot and killed during protests in Tehranpars on 8 January 2026.
It has been reported that on the night of 8 January, Hamidreza Taheri and his spouse were returning from a memorial ceremony for his mother. Near Arash Hospital in Tehranpars, he parted ways with his spouse and joined the protesters, after which there was no further news of him.
His family was unaware of his whereabouts for four days and visited medical centres and hospitals. On 12 January, the family was informed that he had been shot from behind and killed on the night of 8 January.

گزارش شده است که شب 18 دی، حمیدرضا طاهری و همسرش از مراسم هفتم مادرشان بازگشته بودند. او نزدیک بیمارستان آرش در تهرانپارس از همسرش جدا شده و به معترضان پیوسته است و پس از آن خبری از او نبوده است.
خانواده حمیدرضا طاهری تا چهار روز بعد از او بی خبر بوده و به مراکز درمانی و بیمارستان ها مراجعه کرده اند. در تاریخ 22 دی به خانواده اطلاع داده شده که او در شب 18 دی از پشت سر مورد اصابت گلوله قرار گرفته و کشته شده است.
