On Friday, 19 Dey 1404 (January 9, 2026), he was killed in Fardis, Karaj, after being shot directly in the chest with live ammunition.
Mehdi was standing beside his wife. She first moved his blood-soaked body to the nearest house’s parking area and then took him to a hospital in Fardis, Karaj. Mehdi died an hour and a half after being shot, in his wife’s arms.
Reports indicate that on 19 January 2026, Mohammad Mehdi Jarchi, a resident of Karaj, lost his life during public protests in Fardis, Karaj. It is reported that he was shot directly by government forces, with the bullet striking his heart.
