همسر مهدی سلحشور با اشاره به حال روحی خود و دو فرزند ۶ و ۱۰ ساله مهدی سلحشور نوشت: مهدی جز معدود افرادی بود که در زندگیم دیدم با این حجم از دیگر دوستی نه به این معنی که خودش را و اعتقاداتش را محترم نداند به این معنی که محترم بود و خیرخواه همه. هیچ وقت بد کسی را نخواست. زیر آب نزد . هرآنچه در توان داشت برای کمک می گذاشت.
