According to reports from human rights organisations in Iran, Mousa Mousavi Gourabi, a resident of Ahvaz in Khuzestan Province and one of those arrested during the nationwide protests in December 2025, has been sentenced by the judge of Branch 16 of the Khuzestan Court of Appeal. He received a sentence of two years of imprisonment, a two-year travel ban, and additional penalties.
The verdict issued by the judge of Branch 16 of the Khuzestan Court of Appeal states that Mousa Mousavi Gourabi was convicted of "disrupting public order and peace" and sentenced to two years of imprisonment, one year of mandatory attendance at the "Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice" centre, and a two-year travel ban.
Initially, Mousa Mousavi Gourabi was tried by the judge of the Criminal Court 2 in Ahvaz. He was convicted of "disrupting public order and peace" and sentenced to two years of imprisonment, one year of mandatory attendance at the "Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice" centre, and a two-year travel ban.
Mousa Mousavi Gourabi was arrested by security forces during the nationwide protests in December 2025. After undergoing interrogation and being charged, he was transferred to the central prison (Sheiban) in Ahvaz, where he remains incarcerated.
The issuance of imprisonment sentences against citizens on charges of "disrupting public order and peace" in Iran's legal system is based on the provisions of the Islamic Penal Code and other criminal laws.
به گزارش حقوق بشر در ایران، طی روزهای اخیر، موسی موسوی گورابی، ساکن اهواز مرکز استان خوزستان و از بازداشت شدگان اعتراضات سراسری دی ماه ۱۴۰۴، محبوس و بلاتکلیف در زندان مرکزی(شیبان)اهواز، توسط قاضی شعبه ۱۶ دادگاه تجدیدنظر استان خوزستان، به تحمل ۲ سال حبس تعزیری، دو سال منع خروج از کشور و مجازات تکمیلی محکوم شد.
براساس دادنامه صادره توسط قاضی شعبه ۱۶ دادگاه تجدیدنظر استان خوزستان؛ موسی موسوی گورابی، از بابت اتهام «اخلال در نظم و آسایش عمومی» به تحمل ۲ سال حبس تعزیری، یک سال حضور اجباری در مرکز «امر به معروف و نهی از منکر» و به ۲ سال منع خروج از کشور محکوم شده است.
لازم به است، موسی موسوی گورابی، در مرحله بدوی، توسط قاضی شعبه دادگاه کیفری۲ اهواز، محاکمه و از بابت اتهام «اخلال در نظم و آسایش عمومی» به تحمل ۲ سال حبس تعزیری، یک سال حضور اجباری در مرکز «امر به معروف و نهی از منکر» و به ۲ سال منع خروج از کشور محکوم شده بود.
موسی موسوی گورابی، در جریان اعتراضات سراسری دی ماه ۱۴۰۴، توسط نیروهای امتیتی، دستگیر و پس از طی مراحل بازجویی ها و تفهیم اتهام به زندان مرکزی(شیبان) اهواز منتقل و همچنان در آن زندان بسر می برد.
صدور احکام حبس علیه شهروندان با اتهام «اخلال در نظم و آسایش عمومی» در نظام حقوقی ایران، مستند به مقررات قانون مجازات اسلامی و سایر قوانین کیفری است.
