Reza's family did not know that he would participate in the protests on 20th of September 2022, but that day Reza did not return home, his parents were worried, but after the suppression of the protests, the city of Kermanshah has taken on a special state. They go to the police station, they tell them that "we didn't make any arrests tonight.
But the family rushed to the hospital, in the hospital "they said we had two feet; A woman and a man, and the man is about 35 years old. The family of Reza, this 22yearold young man, hopes that their young man is not among the dead.
Until morning, the family goes to various institutions in search of Reza to find a trace of him. At around 4:00 pm the next day, an officer from the Intelligence Department calls Reza's family and asks if Reza participated in the "disturbances". The father of the family is summoned to the intelligence office to answer "a series of questions". The mother of the family becomes so hopeful that she even gives her son's medicine to the father of the family so that it can reach Reza immediately.
Finally, Reza's uncle is summoned by phone to identify the identity of a dead body.
Reza, however, is the same 35yearold man in the hospital's morgue, but his face was so covered in blood that at first glance, no one was able to identify him. He was killed by a hundred bullets.
The body of Reza Shahparnia was buried on September 31. The mother only saw the body of her only son for a moment during the burial. The sister also told her only brother: "Just open the shroud for a moment so that Reza's mother can see her son's face."
Reza was born on 22nd March 1999.
خانواده رضا در روز ۲۹ شهریور ۱۴۰۱ مطلع نبودند که او در اعتراض ها شرکت خواهد کرد، اما آن روز رضا به خانه برنگشت، پدر و مادرش نگران می شوند، اما در پی سرکوب اعتراض ها، شهر کرمانشاه حالت ویژه ای به خود گرفته است. به کلانتری می روند، به آنها می گویند که «امشب اصلا بازداشتی نداشتیم.
خانواده اما سراسیمه به بیمارستان مراجعه، در بیمارستان «گفتند دو فوتی داشتیم؛ یه خانم و یه آقا و آقاهه حدودا ۳۵ ساله هست.» خانواده رضا، این جوان ۲۲ ساله، امیدوار می شوند که جوان شان دست کم در بین فوتی ها نیست.
خانواده تا صبح در جستجوی رضا به نهادهای مختلفی مراجعه می کنند تا رد و نشانی از او پیدا کنند. ساعت حدود ۴ بعد از ظهر روز بعد مأموری از اداره آگاهی با خانواده رضا تماس می گیرد و می پرسد که آیا رضا در "اغتشاش ها" شرکت کرده؟ پدر خانواده برای پاسخ "به یک سری سوال ها" به اداره آگاهی احضار می شود. مادر خانواده آنچنان امیدوار می شود که حتی داروهای پسرش را نیز به پدر خانواده می دهد تا بلافاصله به دست رضا برسد.
سرانجام دایی رضا، تلفنی برای تشخیص هویت یک جسد احضار می شود.
رضا اما همان مرد به ظاهر ۳۵ ساله در سردخانه بیمارستان است، اما صورت این پیکر آنچنان غرق در خون بوده که در نگاه اول، کسی قادر به شناسایی اش نشده است. او با صد گلوله ساچمه ای کشته شد.
پیکر رضا شهپرنیا روز ۳۱ شهریورماه به خاک سپرده شد. مادر تنها یک لحظه، هنگام خاکسپاری، پیکر تنها پسرش را دید؛ خواهر هم تنها برادرش را: «یه لحظه فقط کفن رو باز کردن تا مادر رضا، صورت پسرش رو ببینه.»
