Mehran (Basir) Tavana (born in 2nd of October 1992, Foman died on November 19, 2022, Rasht) was a 30yearold young man who was directly shot by the commander of the Guards Corps of Somesara during the nationwide protests in the city of Somesara. Mehran Tavana was in a coma for 3 days; And after three days, he died in Poursina hospital in Rasht due to the severity of his injuries. Mehran Basir Tavana's body was not handed over to his family for several days. Finally, on the 24th of November, the body of this deceased was buried in the shrine of the mosque of the village of Sind Bala, located 4 kilometers from the city of Foman, in a strict security environment. Mehran Tavana's family and relatives were threatened, harassed and interrogated by the security officers; And they forced to be silent.
On November 16, 2022, he went to the street from his workplace with one of his friends to shop. On that day, which coincided with the nationwide uprising of November 2019, demonstrations were held in most cities of Iran. There was also a demonstration in the monastery. Mehran Tavana sees that the oppressive officers of the Islamic Republic have beaten an elderly woman, he got out of the car and gently tells the officers that this woman is your mother and don't beat her. And helps that old woman to leave the scene. While he was helping that elderly woman, the commander of the Guards Corps of Soumesara shot him in the back of the head at a distance of one meter. People immediately took Mehran to the hospital.
Mehran was in a coma for 3 days; And after three days, he died in Poursina hospital in Rasht due to the severity of his injuries.
Mehran's body was not handed over to his family for several days. Finally, on the 24th of November, the body of this deceased was buried in a strict security environment.
The family and relatives of Mehran Tavana were threatened, harassed and interrogated by the security officers and were forced to remain silent. One of the members of Mehran Tavana's family, who had published protest stories about Mehran's death, was arrested by security officers and detained for more than a month under pressure and torture.
مهران بصیر توانا (زاده ۱۰مهرماه ۱۳۷۱، فومن – درگذشته ۲۸ آبان ۱۴۰۱، رشت) جوان ۳۰ ساله ای بود که در جریان اعتراضات سراسری در شهر صومعه سرا هدف شلیک مستقیم فرمانده سپاه پاسداران صومعه سرا قرار گرفت. مهران توانا ۳ روز در وضعیت کما بود؛ و پس از سه روز در بیمارستان پورسینای رشت بر اثر شدت جراحات وارد شده جان خود را از دست داد. پیکر مهران بصیر توانا را تا چند روز تحویل خانواده اش ندادند. سرانجام در روز ۳ آذرماه، پیکر این جان باخته را در آرمستان مسجد روستای سند بالا، واقع در ۴ کیلومتری شهر فومن در فضای شدید امنیتی به خاک سپردند. خانواده و نزدیکان مهران توانا از سوی مأموران امنیتی مورد تهدید و آزار و بازجویی قرار گرفتند؛ و آن ها را وادار به سکوت کردند.
در روز ۲۵ آبان ماه ۱۴۰۱، همراه با یکی از دوستانش جهت خرید از محل کارش به خیابان رفته بود. در آن روز که مصادف بود با قیام سراسری آبان ۱۳۹۸، تظاهرات در اکثر شهرهای ایران جریان داشت. در صومعه سرا نیز تظاهرات بود؛ مهران توانا می بیند که مأموران سرکوبگر جمهوری اسلامی یک زن سالمند را مورد ضرب و شتم قرار داده اند، از خودرو پیاده شده و به آرامی به مأموران می گوید که این زن جای مادرتان است و او را کتک نزنید؛ و کمک می کند آن زن مسن از صحنه خارج شود. مهران بصیر توانا درحالی که داشت به آن زن سالمند کمک می کرد، فرمانده سپاه پاسداران صومعه سرا در فاصله ی یک متری و از پشت سر به او شلیک کرد. مردم بلافاصله مهران را به بیمارستان رساندند. مهران ۳ روز در وضعیت کما بود؛ و پس از سه روز در بیمارستان پورسینای رشت بر اثر شدت جراحات وارد شده جان خود را از دست داد.
پیکر مهران را تا چند روز تحویل خانواده اش ندادند. سرانجام در روز ۳ آذرماه، پیکر این جان باخته را در فضای شدید امنیتی به خاک سپردند.
خانواده و نزدیکان مهران توانا از سوی مأموران امنیتی مورد تهدید و آزار و بازجویی قرار گرفته و وادار به سکوت شدند. یکی از اعضا خانواده مهران توانا که استوری های اعتراضی از کشته شدن مهران منتشر کرده بود، توسط مأموران امنیتی دستگیر و بیش از یک ماه در بازداشت و تحت فشار و شکنجه قرار داشت.
