On August 1, 2023, agents from the Sanandaj Intelligence Department targeted the car of Sahar Ahmadi and Pouria Ahmadi, a civil activist and former political prisoner, on the Sanandaj-Mariwan road. After stopping the vehicle, they abducted them along with their young child, Barzin.
