Alireza Mahdipur, a resident of the city of Meymand in Fars Province, passed away on the evening of 8 January 2026 due to a direct gunshot to the head by forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps stationed in the city. According to a report from a resident of Meymand, his family transported his body home that night amidst tensions and personally conducted his burial on 9 January 2026. Alireza Mahdipur was employed as a worker in a plastic bottle manufacturing workshop owned by his cousin.
