Hassan Lotfi was shot with three live bullets during protests in the Haft Hoz area of Tehran on 8 January 2026 and passed away a week later. He was the father of a 12-year-old daughter and worked in interior building design.
It has been reported that officers fired three live bullets at Hassan Lotfi's hand and leg, resulting in the amputation of a finger and the severing of a major artery in his leg. He fell into a coma and, after a brief period of consciousness, succumbed to severe bleeding on 15 January.
The forensic medical report recorded the cause of Hassan Lotfi's death as a pulmonary embolism due to excessive bleeding from sharp projectile impact. His family was informed that, as he had no particular background, he would be considered a martyr. The Martyrs Foundation contacted his family to offer condolences at his parental home, but the family declined this request.
Hassan Lotfi's body was buried in section 326 of Behesht-e Zahra Cemetery in Tehran.
حسن لطفی در تاریخ 18 دی 1404 در اعتراضات منطقه هفت حوض تهران هدف شلیک سه گلوله جنگی قرار گرفت و یک هفته بعد جان باخت. او پدر یک دختر ۱۲ ساله بود و به طراحی دکوراسیون داخلی ساختمان اشتغال داشت.
گزارش شده است که ماموران سه گلوله جنگی به دست و پای حسن لطفی شلیک کردند که باعث قطع شدن انگشت دست و شریان اصلی پای او شد. حسن لطفی به کما رفت و پس از هوشیاری مقطعی به دلیل شدت خونریزی در تاریخ 25 دی جان باخت.
در برگه پزشکی قانونی علت درگذشت حسن لطفی آمبولی ریه به دلیل خونریزی زیاد ناشی از برخورد پرتابه تیز ثبت شده است. به خانواده او گفته شد که چون سابقه خاصی ندارد، به عنوان شهید محسوب می شود. تماس هایی از سوی بنیاد شهید با خانواده او گرفته شد تا برای عرض تسلیت به منزل پدری او مراجعه شود، اما خانواده این درخواست را نپذیرفتند.
پیکر حسن لطفی در قطعه 326 بهشت زهرا تهران به خاک سپرده شد.
