بر اساس گزارش ها، محسن پیرمرادیان، برادر محمد، از کشته شدگان جنگ ایران و عراق است. با وجود مخالفت خانواده، نیروهای امنیتی پس از اطلاع از این موضوع، پیکر محمد پیرمرادیان را در گلزار شهدای آرامستان نجف آباد به خاک سپردند و تنها به ۱۰ نفر از اعضای خانواده اجازه حضور در مراسم تشییع و خاکسپاری وی داده شد
