According to news sources, on 27 August 2023, the Piranshahr Revolutionary Court sentenced Mahvash Tavassoli to imprisonment under judicial supervision.
Based on the issued verdict, Jotyar Ashrafzadeh was sentenced to three years of imprisonment on charges of propaganda against the regime and assembly and collusion. His spouse, Mahvash Tavassoli, was sentenced to two years of imprisonment with an electronic bracelet on charges of propaganda against the regime.
It has been reported that Jotyar Ashrafzadeh and Mahvash Tavassoli were arrested by security forces in Piranshahr on 20 October 2022. After being transferred to a detention centre and undergoing interrogation and charge notification, they were released on bail.
به گزارش منابع خبری، در تاریخ 5 شهریور 1402، دادگاه انقلاب پیرانشهر مهوش توسلی را به حبس تحت نظارت قضایی محکوم کرد.
براساس دادنامه صادره، جوتیار اشرف زاده به اتهام تبلیغ علیه نظام و اجتماع و تبانی به 3 سال حبس تعزیری و همسر وی، مهوش توسلی، به اتهام تبلیغ علیه نظام به 2 سال حبس با پابند الکترونیکی محکوم شدند.
گفته شده است که جوتیار اشرف زاده و مهوش توسلی در تاریخ 28 مهر 1401 توسط نیروهای امنیتی در پیرانشهر بازداشت و پس از انتقال به بازداشتگاه و طی مراحل بازجویی و تفهیم اتهام، با تودیع قرار وثیقه آزاد شدند.
