On Saturday, 25th Mordad 1404 (16th August 2025), Mr Mohsen Ghiassi, a political prisoner and one of those detained during the November 2019 protests, was conditionally released from Evin Prison.

According to Human Rights in Iran, today, Sunday, August 15, 1402, Mohsen Ghiathi, a resident of Dinar Abad village in Shahryar County and one of the detainees of the November 2018 protests, is serving his prison term, which is one of the basic rights of a prisoner. He is deprived of making phone calls to his family and on the other hand, receiving money to meet his needs. This political prisoner was released on bail after being arrested during the protests of November 2018 and during the interrogation and proceedings. Protests in the fall of 1401 were arrested for continued imprisonment.

According to a source close to Mohsen Ghiashi's family in a conversation with a human rights reporter in Iran: "Mr. Ghiashi has been denied the right to make any phone calls to his family by order of the Evin prison authorities, and on the other hand, his debit card has also been deactivated. "He is not able to get his basic necessities from the prison store."

It is necessary to mention that Mohsen Ghiyasi was arrested and transferred to TehraneBozorg Prison on November 1, 2020 to serve his 2 years and 6 months imprisonment after being summoned to the execution branch of Shahideshahr General and Revolution Prosecutor's Office and after a few months with The installation of electronic handcuffs was released under judicial supervision, but simultaneously with the height of the nationwide protests in the fall of 2022, following the opposition of the security officer of the case with the argument that he might be arrested again by other security agencies during the protests, he was arrested again as a preventive measure and He was first transferred to the 6th Brigade of the West Hall 2 of the TehraneBozorg Prison and then to the Evin Prison in order to endure the continuation of the imprisonment.

On December 3, 2019, Mohsen Ghiashi was arrested by security agents while he was walking on the street.

به گزارش حقوق بشر در ایران، امروز یکشنبه ۱۵ مرداد ماه ۱۴۰۲، محسن غیاثی، ساکن روستای دینار آباد از توابع شهرستان شهریار و از بازداشت شدگان اعتراضات آبان ماه ۱۳۹۸، در حالی دوران حبس تعزیری خود را سپری می کند که از حقوق اولیه یک زندانی برای تماس تلفنی با خانواده خود محروم و از سوی دیگر دریافت وجه برای تامین مایحتاج مورد نیاز خود است. این زندانی سیاسی، پس از بازداشت در اعتراضات آبان ۱۳۹۸ و طی مراحل بازجویی و دادرسی با وثیقه آزاد شد و پس از اتمام مراحل دادرسی برای سپری کردن حبس ۲ سال و ۶ ماه خود بازداشت شد اما چندی بعد با پابند الکترونیکی آزاد شد اما با شروع اعتراضات پائیز ۱۴۰۱ برای ادامه حبس بازداشت شد.

به نقل از یک منبع نزدیک به خانواده محسن غیاثی در گفتگو با گزارشگر حقوق بشر در ایران:”آقای غیاثی به دستور مسئولان زندان اوین، از حق هرگونه تماس تلفنی با خانواده خود منع شده و از سوی دیگر کارت واریز وجه وی نیز غیرفعال شده و او قادر به تامین مایحتاج اولیه مورد نیاز خود از فروشگاه زندان نیست.”

لازم به اشاره است، محسن غیاثی، در تاریخ ۱۱ آبان ۱۳۹۹ برای تحمل حبس ۲ سال و ۶ ماه خود پس از احضار به شعبه اجرای احکام دادسرای عمومی و انقلاب شاهدهشهر، بازداشت و به زندان تهران بزرگ منتقل شد و پس از چند ماه با نصب پابند الکترونیکی، تحت نظارت قضائی آزاد شد اما همزمان با اوج گیری اعتراضات سراسری پائیز ۱۴۰۱، در پی مخالفت ضابط امنیتی پرونده با این استدلال که شاید از سوی سایر ارگانهای سایر ارگانهای امنیتی در اعتراضات مجددا بازداشت بشود در اقدامی پیشگیرانه مجددا، بازداشت و برای تحمل ادامه حبس ابتدا به تیپ ۶ سالن ۲ غربی زندان تهران بزرگ و سپس به زندان اوین، منتقل شد.

در تاریخ ۱۹ بهمن ماه ۱۳۹۸، محسن غیاثی، توسط شعبه ۶ دادگاه کیفری ۲ شاهد شهر از بابت اتهام (اخلال در نظم عمومی) به تحمل ۲ سال و ۶ ماه حبس تعزیری و به اتهام (تخریب اموال عمومی) هم به پرداخت ۱ میلیارد تومان جریمه نقدی محکوم شد و در همان زمان برای آزادی موقت وی وثیقه ای به مبلغ ۱ میلیارد تومان نیز صادر شد اما با توجه به ناتوانی خانواده وی در تامین وثیقه وی در بازداشت ماند و چندی بعد در پی کاهی وثیقه به ۳۰۰ میلیون تومان آزاد شده بود. این حکم پس از ارجاع پرونده به دادگاه تجدیدنظر از بابت حبس تعزیری عینا تائید شد اما حکم ۱ میلیارد تومان جریمه نقدی به ۱۰۰ میلیون تومان کاهش پیدا کرد.

محسن غیاثی، در تاریخ ۱۲ آذر ماه ۱۳۹۸، توسط ماموران امنیتی در حالی که در خیابان تردد می کرد بازداشت شد. .
