According to reports, Hadi Abbasian was arrested on the evening of 13 May 2026, around 7 p.m., in the Farhang Shahr area of Shirvan, after the location was surrounded by the Revolutionary Guard and police forces.
Informed sources have stated that he was transferred to Shirvan prison the following day. However, he has not had any contact with his family members, and his current status remains unknown. The only available information pertains to the moment of his arrest, which was witnessed by some citizens and neighbours.

هادی عباسیان، از معترضان شناخته شده شهرستان شیروان، در جریان اعتراضات دی ماه ۱۴۰۵ با انتشار ویدیوهایی از مردم خواسته بود از حق طبیعی خود برای اعتراض استفاده کنند.
بر اساس گزارش های دریافتی، او پس از آن بارها از سوی نهادهای امنیتی احضار و تهدید شد و ناچار بود به صورت مخفیانه زندگی کند.
در جریان اعتراضات دی ماه، گفته شده بود که هادی عباسیان بازداشت و کشته شده است، که این خبر درست نبود.
طبق این گزارش، هادی عباسیان شامگاه چهارشنبه ۲۳ اردیبهشت ۱۴۰۵، حوالی ساعت هفت عصر، در منطقه فرهنگ شهر شیروان، پس از محاصره محل توسط نیروهای سپاه پاسداران و نیروی انتظامی بازداشت شد.
به گفته منابع مطلع، او روز بعد به زندان شیروان منتقل شده اما تاکنون هیچ تماسی با اعضای خانواده خود نداشته و اطلاعی از وضعیت او در دست نیست. تنها اطلاعات موجود مربوط به لحظه بازداشت اوست که توسط برخی شهروندان و همسایگان مشاهده شده است.
