On 19 March 2023, it was reported that officers from the Karaj Central Prison guard attacked political prisoner Mohammad Hasani, subjecting him to physical assault. It is alleged that the officers injured him by banging his head against a wall.
As the new year approached, officers entered Ward 7, where political prisoners are held, and destroyed the Haft-Seen table set for the celebration, tearing up Mohammad Hasani's books. Following this, he was physically assaulted.
The commander of the Karaj Central Prison guard has been identified as someone named Mehrani. Reports indicate that this individual has been involved in the torture and mistreatment of prisoners, having repeatedly assaulted them. The judiciary and the prison organisation have been held responsible for any harm to Mohammad Hasani.
Mohammad Hasani, a political prisoner, is a resident of Karaj and originally from Sonqor. He was arrested in January 2020 and subjected to interrogation, during which he reportedly endured severe torture.
Reports indicate that this political prisoner was initially sentenced to 12 years in prison on charges of propaganda against the regime and destruction of public property, with 6 years of the sentence enforceable. However, the Karaj Revolutionary Court decided to convert the sentence to 12 years. Mohammad Hasani has been in prison without leave since 2020.
در روز یکشنبه 28 اسفند 1401، گزارش شده است که مأموران گارد زندان مرکزی کرج به زندانی سیاسی محمد حسنی حمله کرده و او را مورد ضرب و شتم قرار دادند. گفته می شود که مأموران با کوبیدن سر او به دیوار، وی را مصدوم کردند.
در آستانه سال نو، مأموران به بند 7 که محل نگهداری زندانیان سیاسی است، وارد شدند و سفره هفت سین عید را تخریب کرده و کتاب های محمد حسنی را پاره کردند. پس از آن، او را مورد ضرب و شتم قرار دادند.
فرمانده نیروهای گارد زندان مرکزی کرج فردی به نام مهرانی معرفی شده است. گزارش ها حاکی از آن است که وی در شکنجه و آزار زندانیان نقش داشته و بارها آنان را مورد ضرب و شتم قرار داده است. مسئولیت هرگونه آسیب به محمد حسنی بر عهده دستگاه قضایی و سازمان زندان ها اعلام شده است.
محمد حسنی، زندانی سیاسی، ساکن کرج و اهل سنقر است. او در دی ماه 1398 بازداشت و تحت بازجویی قرار گرفت و در این مدت به شدت مورد شکنجه قرار گرفته است.
گزارش ها نشان می دهد که این زندانی سیاسی به اتهام تبلیغ علیه نظام و تخریب اموال عمومی ابتدا به 12 سال زندان محکوم شده بود که 6 سال آن قابل اجرا بود. اما دادگاه انقلاب کرج تصمیم به تبدیل این حکم به 12 سال گرفت. محمد حسنی از سال 1398 تاکنون بدون مرخصی در زندان بوده است.
