According to received reports, on 9 January 2026, Khadijeh Sharaflou Zagheh, a Turkish citizen, died from a direct gunshot to the cheek during public protests in Qal'eh Hasan Khan (Shahr-e Qods), Tehran. Khadijeh Sharaflou Zagheh was an entrepreneur in Tehran and was married with two children.
