Hooman Farahri, a Zoroastrian priest and a prominent figure in the religious community, was arrested on 14 March 2026 by the Intelligence Department of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in Kerman.
According to informed sources, this Zoroastrian citizen is reportedly under severe pressure to accept coerced confessions following his arrest. Farahri has also been identified as a supporter of Prince Reza Pahlavi in addition to his religious activities.
Additionally, it has been reported that his wife, Minou Mehrabani, a researcher and cultural activist in the Zoroastrian community, was arrested during the first week of Nowruz. Prior to their arrests, the couple managed the Telegram page "Puyandegan-e Rah-e Asha," which focused on teaching Zoroastrian religious teachings.
هومن فروهری، موبدیار زرتشتی و از چهره های مذهبی این جامعه، روز ۲۴ اسفند ۱۴۰۴ توسط اداره اطلاعات سپاه در شهر کرمان بازداشت شده است.
به گفته یک منبع مطلع، این شهروند زرتشتی پس از بازداشت تحت فشار شدید برای پذیرش اعترافات اجباری قرار دارد. فروهری علاوه بر فعالیت های مذهبی، از حامیان شاهزاده رضا پهلوی نیز عنوان شده است.
همچنین، بنا بر اطلاعات رسیده، همسر او، مینو مهربانی، پژوهشگر و فعال فرهنگی زرتشتی، در هفته نخست نوروز بازداشت شده است. این زوج پیش از بازداشت، مدیریت صفحه تلگرامی «پویندگان راه اشا» را بر عهده داشتند که به آموزش آموزه های دینی زرتشتی می پرداخت.
