Reports indicate that 16 citizens are undergoing judicial proceedings in connection with the protests of January 2026, in a case referred to as the "Meydan-e Shohada Esfahan Case." The identities of 12 of the defendants in this case have been identified. Some of these individuals face charges of moharebeh, which can carry severe criminal consequences. The hearing for these individuals' charges was held at Dastgerd Prison in Esfahan. It has been reported that the defence lawyers did not have full access to the case files before the hearing, and one of the defendants has claimed to have been subjected to torture during interrogation.
This case is distinct from another case known as the "Meydan-e Alikhani Esfahan Case," which involves a similar number of citizens facing similar charges. These citizens are currently held in Dastgerd and Dolatabad Prisons in Esfahan.

این پرونده با پرونده ای دیگر به نام «میدان علیخانی اصفهان» که شامل تعداد مشابهی از شهروندان با اتهامات مشابه است، تفاوت دارد. این شهروندان در حال حاضر در زندان های دستگرد و دولت آباد اصفهان به سر می برند.
