He was an 18-year-old young man who was arrested in Tehran during protests following the Iranian presidential election in 2009 and was taken to the hospital due to injuries sustained in prison. Due to the severity of his injuries, he died on Thursday, July 16.

Mohammad Kamrani (June 16, 1991 - July 15, 2009) was arrested during the protests following the Iranian presidential elections in 2009 and the march of thousands of protesters on the anniversary of the 18th of Tir near Vali-Asr Square in Tehran and transferred to Kahrizak detention center. After being transferred to Evin Prison in Tehran, he was transferred to Loghman Hospital due to his injuries. He was then transferred to Mehr Hospital, where he died on Thursday, July 15, due to the severity of his injuries. His body was buried in Behesht-e-Zahra Cemetery in Tehran on Saturday, July 17.

Kamrani's seventh night ceremony was also held on Molla Sadra Street, Sazman Gosht Street, on Thursday.

Mohammad Kamrani was the eldest male child in the family and had two older sisters and a younger brother.

محمد کامرانی (۲۶ خرداد ۱۳۷۰ - ۲۵ تیر ۱۳۸۸) در جریان اعتراضات پس از انتخابات ریاست جمهوری ایران در سال ۱۳۸۸ و راهپیمایی هزاران معترض در سالگرد هجده تیر در نزدیکی میدان ولی عصر تهران دستگیر شد و به بازداشتگاه کهریزک انتقال یافت. او پس از انتقال به زندان اوین تهران، به دلیل جراحت های وارده به بیمارستان لقمان منتقل شد . سپس به بیمارستان مهر منتقل شد که به دلیل شدت جراحات، در روز پنجشنبه ۲۵ تیرماه درگذشت. پیکر او شنبه ۲۷ تیر در بهشت زهرای تهران به خاک سپرده شد.

مراسم شب هفتم کامرانی نیز در خیابان ملاصدرا، خیابان سازمان گوشت، روز پنج شنبه برگزار شد.

محمد کامرانی فرزند ذکور ارشد خانواده بود و دو خواهر بزرگتر از خود و یک برادر کوچک تر از خود داشت.
