According to available information, Moslem Fatemi was killed by gunfire during protests in the city of Rasht. His lifeless body was found three days later in a cold storage container in the city. It has been reported that Moslem Fatemi was originally from Kelardasht and worked as a real estate consultant. He was the father of a daughter.
Following the identification of the body, Moslem Fatemi's family came under pressure from security agencies and were warned not to disseminate information. It was also announced that holding a public ceremony or the presence of acquaintances and relatives was prohibited.
Moslem Fatemi's body was buried in Kelardasht on the morning of 13 January 2026, before sunrise, under security conditions and in complete silence, with only four close relatives present. It has also been reported that at the time of the body's handover, a sum of 700 million tomans was collected from the family as a shooting fee.

خانواده مسلم فاطمی پس از شناسایی پیکر تحت فشار نهادهای امنیتی قرار گرفته اند و به آن ها هشدار داده شده است که از اطلاع رسانی خودداری کنند. همچنین اعلام شده است که برگزاری مراسم عمومی یا حضور آشنایان و بستگان ممنوع است.
پیکر مسلم فاطمی بامداد روز ۲۳ دی ماه ۱۴۰۴ پیش از طلوع آفتاب در شرایط امنیتی و در سکوت کامل تنها با حضور چهار نفر از نزدیکان در کلاردشت به خاک سپرده شد. همچنین گزارش شده است که هم زمان با تحویل پیکر، مبلغ ۷۰۰ میلیون تومان از خانواده وی به عنوان حق تیر دریافت شده است.
