Farzad Khoshboresh

Farzad Khosh Barash, a 31-year-old resident of Neka and a supporter of monarchy, passed away in a hospital after reportedly being tortured following his arrest by the Mazandaran Intelligence Department. Reports indicate that he and his brother were subjected to beatings while in detention, with extensive bruising observed on his body. A photograph of his legs was secretly taken in the hospital.

It has been reported that during the torture, Farzad requested water and, after drinking the water provided by the officers, suffered severe diarrhea and bloody vomiting. This condition persisted for several days after his transfer to Behshahr prison, with no effective medical intervention undertaken to save him.

As his condition worsened, Farzad was transferred to Khatam al-Anbia Hospital in Behshahr on 24 November 2025, and his family was informed of his hospitalization on the same day. However, a few hours later, at approximately 3 a.m. on 25 November, Farzad passed away.

Following his death, the family faced threats and were pressured into providing a written commitment. Farzad's body was buried at night in the village of Qaleh Sar Neka.

This was Farzad's second arrest. He was first detained by intelligence during an event and later released on bail. However, he was recently arrested again due to his critical activities on social media and was tortured along with his brother at the Neka Intelligence Detention Centre. Reports suggest that these tortures led to his death.
