ناهید تقوی، که تابعیت آلمان را هم دارد، ۲۵ مهر ۱۳۹۹، توسط نیروهای امنتیتی در منزل خود در تهران بازداشت و به یکی از سلول های انفرادی اطلاعات سپاه موسوم به بند دو الف زندان اوین منتقل شد. او پس از گذشت ۵ ماه از این سلول انفرادی به بند زنان زندان اوین منتقل شد. او از زمان بازداشت طی ۸۰ جلسه و معادل هزار ساعت تحت بازجویی قرار گرفته است.
اتهامات واهی او «مشارکت در اداره گروه غیرقانونی و فعالیت تبلیغی علیه نظام» عنوان شده و از زمان بازداشت از امکان برقراری تماس تلفنی با خانواده اش محروم بوده. ناهید تقوی از آسیب های شدید در ستون فقرات رنج می برد و مبتلا به فتق متعدد دیسک و سندرم تونل کارپال دست است که موجب درد شدید در مچ دست می شود.
Nahid Taghavi, who also holds German citizenship, was arrested on October 16, 2020 by security forces at her home in Tehran and transferred to one of the solitary cells of the Sepah Intelligence, known as Ward 2A of Evin Prison. After spending five months in this solitary cell, she was transferred to the women's ward of Evin Prison. She has been interrogated for a total of 80 sessions, equivalent to a thousand hours since her arrest.
Her baseless charges are "participation in managing an illegal group and propaganda activities against the regime" and she has been deprived of the opportunity to make phone calls with her family since her arrest. Nahid Taghavi suffers from severe damage to her spine, multiple disc herniations, and carpal tunnel syndrome, which causes severe pain in her wrist.
