On Monday, August 4, 2025, Amin Mohammad Ghorbanzadeh, a 23-year-old resident of Nazarabad, a district of Hashtgerd, and a social media activist and political prisoner, was released on a furlough leading to freedom after serving part of his prison sentence at the Central Prison of Karaj.
Amin Mohammad Ghorbanzadeh was informed through a court ruling that, with the consent of the public prosecutor and the security officer handling his case, he would be released on a furlough leading to freedom and would not return to prison.
Previously, on July 22, 2025, his custodial sentence was converted to an open prison sentence, and he was serving his time in this manner.
Amin Mohammad Ghorbanzadeh was arrested by security forces at his father's home in Nazarabad, Hashtgerd, on January 2, 2024. After being transferred to the central detention center of the Intelligence Department of Alborz Province and undergoing interrogation, he was moved to Ward 15 of the Central Prison of Karaj. On May 10, 2025, after posting bail, he was released on furlough but returned to the Central Prison of Karaj on June 1, 2025, to continue serving his custodial sentence.
During the legal proceedings, Amin Mohammad Ghorbanzadeh was tried by the judge of Branch 3 of the Revolutionary Court of Karaj. He was sentenced to two years and eight months in prison for "membership in groups opposing the regime with the intent to disrupt national security" and an additional eight months for "propaganda activities against the regime," with the initial days of detention counted toward his sentence.
As supplementary punishment, he was also sentenced to a two-year ban on leaving the country and a two-year ban on engaging in online activities.
Previously, during the nationwide protests of 2022, this civil activist was arrested by security forces in Alborz Province. After undergoing interrogation and being formally charged, he was released on bail or surety.
Following the application of "pardon" to the cases of those arrested during those protests, Amin Mohammad Ghorbanzadeh's case was closed.

به گزارش حقوق بشر در ایران، روز دوشنبه ۱۳ مرداد ماه ۱۴۰۴، امین محمد قربان زاده، ۲۳ ساله، ساکن شهرستان نظرآباد از توابع هشتگرد، فعال فضای مجازی و زندانی سیاسی را باز محبوس در زندان ندامتگاه مرکزی کرج، پس از تحمل بخشی از حبس تعزیری خود مشمول مرخصی متصل به آزاد شد.
براساس این گزارش، امین محمد قربان زاده، با رضایت دادستان عمومی و انقلاب استان البرز و ضابط امنیتی پرونده اش، در دادنامه ای که دریافت کرده از اعزام به مرخصی متصل به آزادی خود مطلع و دیگر به زندان بازنخواهد گشت.
پیشتر هم در تاریخ ۳۱ تیر ماه ۱۴۰۴، حکم حبس تعزیری امین محمد قربان زاده، به حبس رای باز تغییر کرد و این شهروند در حال تحمل دوران حبس خود بصورت رای باز بود.
امین محمدقربان زاده، در تاریخ ۱۲ دی ماه ۱۴۰۲، توسط نیروهای امنیتی، در منزل پدری خود، واقع در نظرآباد ازتوابع شهرستان هشتگرد، دستگیر و پس از انتقال به بازداشتگاه مرکزی اداره کل اطلاعات استان البرز و طی مراحل بازجویی ها به زندان بند ۱۵ زندان مرکزی کرج، منتقل و در تاریخ در تاریخ ۲۰ اردیبهشت ماه ۱۴۰۴، پس از طی مراحل تودیع وثیقه به مرخصی اعزام شده بود اما در تاریخ ۱۱ خرداد ماه ۱۴۰۴، پس از اتمام دوران مرخصی، برای تحمل ادامه حبس تعزیری خود به زندان ندامتگاه مرکزی کرج، بازگشته بود.
با آغاز مراحل دادرسی، امین محمدقربان زاده، توسط قاضی شعبه ۳ دادگاه انقلاب شهر کرج، محاکمه و از بابت اتهام «عضویت در گروههای مخالف نظام به قصد برهم زدن امنیت کشور» به تحمل ۲ سال ۸ ماه حبس تعزیری و به اتهام «فعالیت تبلیغی علیه نظام» هم به تحمل ۸ ماه حبس تعزیری با احتساب روز های بازداشت اولیه محکوم شد.
امین محمد قربان زاده، بعنوان مجازات تکمیلی هم به ۲ سال منع خروج از کشور و ۲ سال منع فعالیت در فضای مجازی محکوم شد.
این فعال مدنی، پیشتر هم در جریان اعتراضات سراسری ۱۴۰۱، توسط نیروهای امنیتی ـ انتظامی در استان البرز، دستگیر و پس از طی مراحل بازجویی ها و تفهیم اتهام با تودیع قرار وثیقه یا کفالت آزاد شده بود.
در پی اعمال «عفو» به پرونده دستگیر شدگان آن اعتراضات و اعمال آن به پرونده امین محمد قربان زاده، پرونده یو مختومه شده بود.
